Learn moreWho restorative care is for
You may have come to this page because of a cracked tooth, an old filling that finally gave out, a tooth that’s been bothering you for months, or a smile that just doesn’t feel like yours anymore. Whatever brought you here — restorative dentistry is the work of getting your mouth back to comfortable, healthy function. And making it look like nothing ever happened.
What this means for you
The biggest single difference between a restorative visit at Culpeper Dental Care and the typical office: the dentist who diagnoses your problem is the dentist who fixes it. Dr. Sanie handles root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, and full-mouth rehab right here on James Madison Highway. You won’t be sent across town to a specialist for the root canal and back to us for the crown. You won’t repeat your story three times. You won’t wonder who’s actually in charge of your care. That continuity matters.
Modern tools, simple explanation
Behind the warm wood floors, the office runs on quietly modern equipment — digital scanning that replaces messy molds, CBCT 3D imaging that shows Dr. Sanie exactly what’s happening beneath the surface, tooth-colored materials that blend invisibly with your natural enamel. None of it is mentioned to impress you. It’s mentioned because it’s why your visit will be shorter, more comfortable, and more predictable than it would have been a decade ago.
What your first visit looks like
Plan for 75–90 minutes. You’ll get a careful exam, any x-rays needed (and only the ones needed — never reflexive), and an unhurried conversation about what’s bothering you and what your options are. By the end of the visit, you’ll leave with a written treatment plan, a clear cost estimate, and zero pressure. Many patients use the next week to think it over and then schedule when they’re ready.
For patients without insurance
The Virginia Dental Club membership covers your cleanings and exams for one flat annual fee and discounts most restorative work. For larger treatment, the practice partners with CareCredit and Sunbitfor 0% interest monthly plans. Cost shouldn’t be the reason you put off a tooth that needs care — there’s almost always a path forward.
Frequently asked questions
Will my tooth look natural after?
Yes. Modern tooth-colored materials and porcelain match the color, translucency, and surface character of natural enamel. Most restorations are completely indistinguishable from the surrounding teeth — even up close.
Is it painful?
Local anesthetic numbs the area completely during the procedure. Mild soreness for a day or two after is typical for larger work, easily managed with ibuprofen. For patients who feel anxious, nitrous oxide is available for extra comfort.
How long will it last?
Tooth-colored fillings typically last 7–15 years. Porcelain crowns and bridges last 10–20 years on average and often longer with good care. Dental implants can last a lifetime. Care matters: a well-maintained restoration outlives a neglected one by a wide margin, and the practice will help you stay on top of the simple habits that protect the work.
