Cosmetic Dentistry
A smile you’ll
actually show.
Subtle whitening, custom porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding, or a full smile makeover — your goals lead, the timeline is yours, and the conversation starts with what bothers you.

Your cosmetic options, in plain English
- Professional whitening — in-office and take-home options that get your teeth several shades brighter than drugstore whitening, without the sensitivity surprises.
- Porcelain veneers — thin custom-made porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth, used to change shape, color, alignment, or proportion. Think of veneers as the most powerful cosmetic tool — and the most permanent.
- Cosmetic bonding — a tooth-colored resin sculpted by hand directly onto a tooth. Quick, value-priced, and the right fix for a single chip, a small gap, or an uneven edge.
- Inlays & onlays — precision porcelain restorations between a filling and a crown, often used after larger old fillings need replacement.
- Smile makeover — a phased plan combining several of the above. Tailored to your goals, your face, and your budget.
What you can expect from a cosmetic consult
Plan for an unhurried hour. You’ll talk through what bothers you about your smile (and what doesn’t — that matters too), Dr. Sanie will examine your teeth and bite, you’ll see your smile on the iTero scanner, and you’ll leave with a written plan in plain English. There is no pressure. Many patients use the consult to gather information and decide weeks or months later, when the timing feels right.
For Culpeper patients with bigger goals
A meaningful smile change — whitening combined with a few veneers, or a fuller makeover that addresses several teeth at once — is a planned process. The work is staged so each step is comfortable, and so you can live with each change before deciding on the next. The Culpeper Dental Care office handles this kind of multi-treatment plan in-house, including any Invisalign work that’s needed first.
Modern materials matter
Today’s porcelain looks like enamel — translucent, with subtle character that catches light the way natural teeth do. Today’s composites blend invisibly. The tools have caught up with the goal: cosmetic dentistry should look like dentistry you can’t see. That’s the standard at Culpeper Dental Care.
Virginia Dental Club savings
Members of the Virginia Dental Club receive 20% off cosmetic treatment — meaningful on whitening, bonding, and especially on veneers and full smile makeovers. For patients without insurance, the discount alone often pays for the membership several times over.
Frequently asked questions
Will my smile look natural?
That’s the goal. The dentistry you can see — the kind that makes a smile look fake or chalky — is dentistry that wasn’t done well. Modern porcelain and composite, paired with careful shade-matching and a dentist who takes time on the details, give you a smile no one will know was changed.
Is cosmetic work covered by insurance?
Generally no — purely cosmetic treatment is rarely covered. When a procedure has a functional component (a chipped tooth that needs bonding to protect it, a bridge that needs porcelain shaped for cosmetic match), parts may be covered. We’ll check before treatment and let you know.
