Dental Implants

A permanent fix
for missing teeth.

Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Dr. Sanie performs implants in-house in Culpeper — no separate specialist visit, one team start to finish.

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. The post fuses with your jawbone over a few months — a process called osseointegration — giving us a stable foundation for a custom crown that looks and feels like the tooth you lost. Implants are the closest modern dentistry has come to a permanent replacement.

Implants performed in-house in Culpeper

Many dental practices refer implants out to a periodontist or oral surgeon for placement, then bring you back for the crown. Dr. Sanie handles every step at Culpeper Dental Care, on James Madison Highway: planning with CBCT 3D imaging, surgical placement, impressions, abutment, and the final crown. One office, one dentist, one consistent plan.

Why patients in Culpeper choose implants

  • Permanent. With proper care, implants can last a lifetime — far longer than bridges or partials.
  • Preserves jawbone. Implants stimulate bone the way natural roots do, preventing the sunken-jaw look that follows tooth loss.
  • Functions like real teeth. Eat what you want. Brush and floss like normal. No removal, no soaking.
  • Doesn’t modify neighboring teeth. Unlike a bridge, a single-tooth implant leaves your healthy adjacent teeth untouched.

The CBCT difference

Modern implant placement starts with a 3D scan. Our CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) imaging gives Dr. Sanie a precise view of your jawbone, sinuses, and nerves before he makes any decisions. The scan takes seconds and dramatically improves outcomes — we know exactly where the implant should go and what to avoid.

Single tooth, multiple teeth, or full arch

We handle the full range:

What it costs and how to pay

A single tooth implant typically ranges from $3,500 to $5,500 including the crown. Multiple-teeth bridges and All-on-4 full-arch cases are quoted individually after consultation and CBCT scan. We provide a written estimate before any treatment begins.

Insurance covers a portion of implant treatment for many plans — we’ll verify your benefits in advance. The Virginia Dental Club member discount applies to most implant work, and we partner with CareCredit and Sunbit financing for 0% interest payment plans.

Frequently asked questions

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients are surprised how comfortable it is. Local anesthetic numbs the area completely during placement; nitrous oxide sedation is available if you’d like extra comfort. Mild soreness for a day or two after is typical.

Am I a candidate?

Most healthy adults are. Heavy smokers, patients with uncontrolled diabetes, or significant jawbone loss may need additional planning (a bone graft, for example) or alternative treatment. The CBCT scan and consultation give you a clear answer.

How long until I have a finished tooth?

End-to-end usually takes 4–6 months for a single implant: placement, 3–6 months for the bone to integrate, then crown placement. We use a temporary tooth in the gap during healing for visible front teeth.
