Here's what to expect.

Your first visit

Plan for about 60–90 minutes. We'll take any necessary x-rays, do a thorough exam (including oral cancer screening and gum-health check), and then sit down with you to talk through what we found and what your options are. Cleaning may be done at this visit or scheduled separately, depending on what you need.

What to bring

• A photo ID
• Your insurance card (if applicable)
• A list of medications you take
• Any recent x-rays from a previous dentist (if available)
• Your questions — write them down so we don't miss anything

Insurance & payment

We accept most major dental insurance plans and will file your claim for you. If you don't have insurance, ask about the Virginia Dental Club — our membership plan that includes cleanings and exams plus discounts on everything else, all for one flat annual fee.

We accept all major credit cards, CareCredit, and offer 0% interest payment plans for larger treatment plans.

If you're anxious

Tell us. Many of our patients have struggled with dental anxiety, and we adjust the visit around it. Nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") is available for any procedure. We move at your pace, we explain what we're doing before we do it, and we stop the moment you raise a hand.
