Infection Control

Infection Control

Infection controls and universal precautions are essential for protecting clients and staff alike. Rigorous infection control practices benefit everyone involved – you, your dentist, and the entire dental team. The foundation of a good and safe dental practice is built on trust. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and receive clear, straightforward answers.

Our entire team adheres to procedures recommended by several federal agencies, including the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These measures include:

  • Disinfectant Hand Soap: Used to ensure hands are thoroughly cleaned.

  • Gloves and Face Masks: Worn by all staff to prevent cross-contamination.

  • Chemical Disinfection: Countertops and surfaces are regularly disinfected to maintain a sterile environment.

  • Equipment Sterilization: All equipment is sterilized before every use. Disposable materials are used wherever possible.

  • Autoclave Sterilization: Reusable equipment, including dental handpieces, are sterilized using an autoclave. This device kills bacteria and viruses through steam, heat, and pressure.

The best defense against disease is informed patients. The more patients know about daily procedures and policies, the better equipped they are to make wise decisions about their healthcare. We believe in transparency and encourage our patients to understand our infection control practices for their peace of mind and health.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our care.
